What we're doing:
July 30: Read Like an Editor--and a Child--with Reader Response was the first in a 3-part series, "Key Writing and Revision Insights and Tools." In this one, Harold Underdown introduced reader response theory and how to use it in writing and revision, with a free optional practice session. August 26: 10 Tried-&-True Tools & Techniques for Top-Notch Revision, the second in our "Key Writing and Revision Insights and Tools" series. Emma D. Dryden presents ten tools and techniques that writers can use to tackle revision of their children's or YA manuscripts. There will be handouts! September 16-November 25 2026, fortnightly: KBR Plus Hangouts Round 3: Registration is open via Eventbrite for our next round of free online "hangouts," at two week intervals and alternating times for East and West Coast folks. Save the date! Registration will open soon. Early December: Watch this space for news of "Revising for Submission," a workshop on revising your manuscript AND query letter to get them ready to go out on submission. Tentative dates: December 3 and 8, with a practice session December 17. Custom Events: We can custom-build workshops or retreats for your group.
